Since 1999, the non-profit, independent body has been dedicated to the preservation and advancement of alternative Bahamian visual culture. It is also the only artist-run studio space in The Bahamas. The space is known for successfully showing emerging contemporary artists and exhibiting highly conceptual work that may not be as warmly received in other local galleries.“Popopstudios is driven by artists and consistent support from the creative community.
