POST (1995 -2005) and its renewal, in 2009, PØST is a subversive venue for contemporary art in Los Angeles. PØST was established as an experimental system, to suggest that the existing support systems are lacking and require interventions. In 1995, PØST became a support to artist and without a specific ideology. At the time, a number of interesting art venues had closed. These venues were founded and managed by artists and visionary dealers. PØST continues to be a subversive support system, one that is organic and innovative, open to change, and its strategies continue to shift in an introspective manner.
